Why LBS essays are different

  London is a global hub; saying so adds nothing. Cite a specific industry concentration in London that matches your background.

• ✗ Goals that could be served equally well at any M7

  If the goal works just as well at Wharton, it's a weak LBS goal. Pick the goal where LBS is structurally the best option.

• ✗ Ignoring the cross-cultural dimension

  LBS readers explicitly look for evidence the applicant will thrive in a cohort where they're a minority by nationality. Monocultural essays underperform.
